Congratulations to Zen Ervin, the recipient of the 2014 Charles G. Pfeiffer Award. Ervin received the award at the Thursday evening banquet during the June 2014 Zane Grey’s West Society annual convention in Durango, Colorado. ZGWS established the “Charles G. Pfeiffer Award” in 2011 for academic excellence in research and writing on the life, lore, and legend of Zane Grey.
The bi-annual award honors Chuck Pfeiffer, a charter member of the Society, for the high quality of his meticulous and prodigious Zane Grey research and to his nearly three decades of inspiration and encouragement to Society members.
The Pfeiffer Award Committee, comprised of Kevin Blake and Rozanna Pfeiffer, reviewed more than a dozen Grey-related publications and recommended Ervin for the award based on the scholarly merit of his publications.
