During the 1940s, families gathered around their radios to hear news about the dangerous places where their loved ones might be serving. They also drew together for an escape from their lives into the make-believe world of radio shows.  Cowboy features like The Lone Ranger (1995 episodes), Gunsmoke (461 episodes) and Have Gun Will Travel  (106 episodes) had long runs. Other shows did not last as long.  One of these was the Zane Grey Show  which only lasted for 12 episodes.  Eleven of these were installments of Grey's fiction "The Last of the Duanes."  The other was "The Adventures of Tex Thorne: The Feud".

We are fortunate that this great Tex Thorne radio show is available on YouTube.  You can listen to it by clicking  here
