The Wolf Tracker
"The Wolf Tracker" is a brutal short story about a man and wolf engaged in a classic battle of "survival of the fittest." Zane Grey, a social Darwinist, frequently pitted man against animal, man against the environment and man against man. Never is this theme more evident than in this short story which, perhaps surprisingly, appeared in The Ladies Home Journal. Illustrations are by Charles S. Chapman.
